Favourite Quote:

I questioned the learned men of bygone centuries; then I consulted those who were my contemporaries… but none of their replies was satisfactory… so I turned in upon myself and put everything to doubt, as though I had never been told anything by anybody. I began to examine things myself in order to discover the true way of gaining knowledge. Hence the thesis which is the starting point of my reflections; the more I think, the more I doubt.
